Getting Started

MC2D.WTF is a shared top-down survival world. Everyone in the selected realm shares terrain, buildings and time. Start as a Guest to try it, or register to keep your character. While playing as a Guest, open Settings → Create account / Save my progress to convert your current progress into a saved account. Do this before ending the temporary session.

Your first equipment

1. Walk away from the protected central clearing and hold left-click on a tree to collect Wood.
2. Press E. Make Sticks and a Workbench. A Wooden pickaxe can be made by hand, so you do not need iron to begin.
3. Select the pickaxe in the hotbar, then mine a rock.
4. Upgrade your pickaxe at a nearby workbench. Make a Furnace from stone and collect coal or another accepted fuel.
5. Mine Iron ore, smelt it, and use Iron ingot for stronger tools and armor. Check the exact recipes before spending materials.

Bring food and light before a long journey. A bed sets a respawn point, but it does not keep your inventory when you die. See survival.
