Dyes & Colors
Bluebell natural content is activated on EU #1. The original V4 seed, terrain, world identity and existing saves are preserved. All pigment and wool colors are server-validated item IDs, with the same icons in game and wiki.

Natural pigment sources
Section titled “Natural pigment sources”By hand, one Bone Meal, Charcoal, Peat, Rose, Sunflower, Bluebell or Tulip makes two White, Black, Brown, Red, Yellow, Blue or Magenta Dye respectively. One Cactus in a fueled Furnace makes two Green Dye in 5.5 seconds; alternatively, three Swamp Grass make one Green Dye by hand. Exact recipes are linked from each dye page.
Bluebell is a sparse small flower on unoccupied Plains/Forest grass, from a separate guarded content layer. Hold left-click to harvest one. Natural flowers regrow after 30 minutes when safe and unclaimed; saved/occupied/protected tiles are not overwritten. You can place the flower as a decoration. No biome or released V4 generator was added or changed.

Sheep and renewable wool
Section titled “Sheep and renewable wool”Conditional on an existing valid natural Sheep spawn: 90% White, 5% Gray, 3% Brown, 2% Black. Black Sheep are rare, not an exotic dyed spawn. No naturally Blue/Pink/other-color sheep are added. Plains and Forest retain existing sheep ecology; Desert has none and Swamp is very sparse. Color does not increase population.
Craft Shears from two Iron Ingots at a Workbench. Right-click an unsheared sheep within two tiles while holding them. A successful action spends exactly one of 238 durability uses and drops 1–3 wool of its fleece color near the sheep, without damage. Fleece returns after 10 minutes, checked lazily while the sheep remains active. Another player cannot shear it again immediately. Claims, reach and line of sight apply. Unsheared sheep always drop 1–2 Wool matching their fleece color; sheared sheep yield no extra fleece until it regrows. Lamb death loot can yield zero, like other mob loot.
Sheep are transient active-area creatures, not persistent livestock: unloading/restarting does not save individual animals. Dyeing living sheep and breeding are not implemented. Dye collected wool instead.
Craft, recolor and build
Section titled “Craft, recolor and build”- Any Wool + one target Dye → one target Wool. Old color is consumed; same-color inputs are excluded. Sources are selected deterministically in inventory-slot order.
- Two same-color Wool → four same-color Rugs at a Workbench.
- Three same-color Wool + three Wood → one same-color Bed by hand. The original white-wool recipe still makes the classic Bed; explicit White Bed is obtained by recoloring a bed with White Dye.
- Four same-color Wool → one solid same-color Wool Block.
- Any matching-family Bed, Rug or Wool Block + one target Dye → one recolored item. A rug conversion is one rug per dye, never four. Pick up/dismantle placed objects first. Claims still protect all placements and demolition.
The crafting grid groups colored recipes with labelled color swatches. Any wool / Any bed / Any rug / Any wool block means the exact catalog family, not an arbitrary similarly named item. Existing Bandage and classic Bed recipes keep literal white-wool requirements. White Wool is the old saved ID wool; White Wool Rug stays wool_rug; no duplicate white aliases are listed.
Rugs cover full tiles without collisions or gaps. Wool Blocks are full-tile solid fabric structures with full-tile collision. All colored beds set a saved respawn point and preserve normal safety/fallback behavior; they never skip multiplayer time. Demolition returns the exact colored item. Container, drop, drag/split and reconnect paths preserve the canonical color ID.
Example paths
Section titled “Example paths”- White sheep → White Wool → Bluebell → Blue Dye → Blue Wool → Blue Rug / Blue Bed / Blue Wool Block.
- Blue Dye + White Dye → Light Blue Dye; recolor Blue Wool to Light Blue Wool.
- Black Sheep → Black Wool, or Charcoal → Black Dye → recolor another wool.
